Housing stock in and around California spans a century, which means plenty of homes still have circuits nobody would install today: knob and tube in the attic, cloth insulation crumbling at the box, two-prong outlets with no ground anywhere in sight.
We work statewide, and every quote is a flat price for a defined scope. Find your city below for local detail and a local page, or call and we will tell you what the job looks like for your address.

Common situations
Two-prong outlets everywhere
No equipment ground means no fault path. Rewiring the branch circuits is the real fix, though GFCI protection is a legitimate interim step in some cases.
Insurance flagged knob and tube
Carriers in your County increasingly require removal. We document what was replaced so you have something to send the underwriter.
Aluminum branch wiring
Aluminum expands and creeps at terminations and runs hot. Depending on scope we either replace the runs or pigtail every connection with approved connectors.
Fabric insulation crumbling
Once the cloth and rubber goes brittle, conductors sit bare inside boxes. There is no repair for that other than new wire.
Questions about whole house rewiring
How much does whole house rewiring cost in California?
It scales with square footage, number of circuits, attic and crawlspace access, and whether the walls are plaster or drywall. A 1,200 square foot single story with attic access is a very different number than a two-story plaster home. Call (833) 652-8933 for a walkthrough and a firm scope.
Can I stay in the house during a rewire?
In most California projects, yes. We work in phases and leave you with power in the rooms we are not touching that day.
Will you cut up my walls?
Some openings are unavoidable, but we fish through existing cavities wherever we can and keep openings small, straight and in patchable locations. We tell you where they will go before we cut.
Is knob and tube wiring illegal in California?
Existing installations are generally allowed to remain, but you cannot extend them, most insurers dislike them, and the insulation is long past its service life. That combination is why owners replace it.
Do I need a new panel if I rewire?
Usually. New circuits need somewhere to land, and a rewire is the natural moment to move to a 200 amp panel with AFCI protection.
