Quotes and scope

Quotes cover the scope described in writing. Work outside that scope is quoted separately and requires your approval before it begins. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Diagnostic visits

Diagnostic visits carry a fee quoted before dispatch. Where you proceed with the recommended repair, that fee is credited against the repair price.

Scheduling and access

Arrival windows are estimates. Emergency calls can displace scheduled appointments, and we will tell you as early as we can if that happens. You are responsible for providing safe access to the work area and to the electrical panel.

Concealed conditions

Existing conditions inside walls, attics and crawlspaces cannot always be identified before work begins. Where we find something that changes the scope we stop, tell you, and re-quote before continuing.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Larger projects may be invoiced in stages. We accept major cards, checks and bank transfer.

Warranty

We warrant our labor and the parts we supply for the period stated on your quote. The warranty does not cover customer-supplied equipment, damage from misuse, later modification by others, or pre-existing conditions we advised against.

Permits

Where work requires a permit we obtain it and arrange inspection. Work performed without a permit at a customer's request is not warranted.

Liability

Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the work in question, except where limitation is not permitted by law.
